Idukki
Thommankuthu
Thommankuthu is one of the most
nature rich areas of kerala, located about 20 km away from
Thodupuzha. It is an ideal place of adventure tourism, trekking
and picnic. Come and see
the seven-step waterfalls, rocks, mountain and a dip in the crystal clear water of
Kannady
River, coming from
the mineral springs of sahyan ranges.
The water that comes from the springs of the mountain ranges
flows to the Kannadypuzha through the rocks and sands peeps into
the naturally formed caves surrounded by sculptured rocks.
Wide
flowing water of
Kannady
River spreads over a large plain rock and narrows down into
the form of a steep
seven-step
waterfall into
a deep reservoir. At each step, there is a cascade and a pool beneath to enjoy the
panoramic beauty. Besides the waterfall there is tall rock
called Kurangan Para (Monkey Rock). If you climb to the top, you
can see the setting Sun.
Valara waterfall
10 km off Adimaly on
the Kochi- Madurai highway, Valara is a host a chain of thick
water falls in the backdrop of thick green forest.
Cheeyappara waterfall
Cheeayappara a 110m
drop of water greets visitors to this spots on the Kochi-
Madurai highway. A misty spray cools all vehicles that cross
this spot on the road.

pilgrim center- Malayattur. The crystal clear medicated water of
the River Mulamkuzhi and the waterfalls of Venanbravady is a

Kollam
PALARUVI
Palaruvi, literally which means ‘stream of milk’ is one of the
well-known water falls in south India, is situated 75 km away
from Kollam. The spectacular waterfall at an attitude is 300
feet. Ayurvedic physicians sometimes prescribe a bath in the
waters of Palaruvi is said to be a preventive for many diseases.
The scenic beauty, complete with mist-clad blue hills, green
valleys and cascades, covered with dense tropical forest, is
breath taking.
Kozhikode
Thusharagiri.
Thusharagiri is an attractive tourist spot situated about 50kms
east of
Kozhikode.
The streams originating from the
Western Ghats meet here to form the River Challipuzha.
The river diverges into three waterfalls, creating a snowy
spray, which gives the name 'Thusharagiri' which means 'snowy
peak'. The three waterfalls, the highest are the Thenpara that
drops 75 mts below is a panoramic view.
